Lost Recipe - Chicken Curry
Ok, catch-up time. This is a recipe my mother made when I was a child. It comes out of a Quick-n-Cheap cookbook published by Reader's Digest in the mid-eighties, though it's current incarnation is fairly changed. First, the groceries.
The Groceries
Ingredients:
- Chicken, some, cooked.
- Onion
- Green Apple - ingredient most likely to be omitted.
- Oil, enough (not shown)
- Flour, about 3 tablespoons (not shown)
- Chicken broth, 1.5 cups
- Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup (originally was half-and-half)
- Curry powder (2 T.)
- Cayene Pepper (very little)
- Ginger (1 t.?)
1. Chop onion and apple and saute until soft.
